Courtney & Tom 10.6.12

Courtney and Tom tied the knot last week Saturday. They had a cold, but lovely intimate ceremony at Custer Park in Muskegon. Courtney enjoyed a relaxing morning at the salon and at her parents home with her girls. Her parents were so hospitable and really enjoyed having everyone around while they got ready. I loved that Courtney's childhood room has remain untouched and it was very fitting for her to put on her vintage dress in her old room. Her mom even busted out her baby books!

Their reception was held at Dockers in Muskegon. The food was amazing and so were all of the vintage and personal touches. It was so neat to see photos of their parents and grandparents strung throughout!

I cannot go on enough about my friends Jamie and her fabulous assistant Terry of Heyday Event Lab. They really brought Courtney's vision to life and it fit her and Tom so well. It was just the right amounts of simple, vintage and personal all rolled into one. Not only did they make the places look amazing, they made all the guest feel welcome and comfortable and kept the day on track! You can imagine what a burden this lifted off of Courtney and her friends and family and allowed them to really enjoy their day with their guests.

The cake. Oh my, the cake. Another friend, Jason of The Cakabakery, made the most amazing 3 tiered birch cake. I tried the salted carmel and died in Heaven. He makes the.best.cakes.ever. I promise.

Here is a preview of the lovely day. Thank you so much to Anya of Photos by Anya for shooting with me!
